Household food Waste Research: A Bibliographic Coupling and Co-word Analysis
Description
Dataset Description Research Scope This dataset contains bibliometric data regarding household food waste (HFW) research. HFW refers to food waste generated at the household level through food management and consumption activities, including uneaten food and leftovers. These bibliometric data are used to map the scientific structure, knowledge domains, conceptual structure, and evolving research themes of HFW. Data Source and Search Strategy Bibliographic data were obtained from Scopus and collected on June 20, 2026. Searches were conducted across titles, abstracts, and keywords using the following search string: TITLE-ABS-KEY (("household food waste" OR "household food wastage" OR "domestic food waste")) AND (LIMIT-TO (DOCTYPE, "ar")) AND (LIMIT-TO (LANGUAGE, "English")) AND (LIMIT-TO (SRCTYPE, "j")) AND (LIMIT-TO (PUBSTAGE, "final")) The initial corpus yielded 783 publications. We then exported this bibliographic data from Scopus in CSV and RIS formats for bibliometric analysis in VOSviewer. Data Contents The dataset includes bibliographic information on the publications, such as authors, title, publication year, source title, abstract, keywords, citations, references, and other bibliographic details available in the Scopus export. This dataset serves as the basis for bibliographic coupling (BC), co-word analysis (Co-W), and temporal overlay analysis.
