Description

The Chapman University and Shaoxing People's Hospital (CUZU) ECG database [1,2] is a publicly available 12-lead electrocardiogram collection comprising 10,646 recordings from adult patients, each 10 seconds in duration and sampled at 500 Hz. The dataset includes a diverse array of 67 diagnostic labels and 11 rhythm types, such as sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation (AFIB), atrial flutter (AFL), sinus bradycardia (SB), and sinus tachycardia (ST). With over 148,000 total heartbeats, the CUZU dataset provides a rich resource for training and validating ECG analysis algorithms, particularly in multilead contexts. To enable quantitative validation of QRS detection algorithms, we performed QRS complex annotation across the entire dataset. The annotation process was semi-automated: candidate R-peaks were first identified using the proposed multilead detection method and then manually verified by a biomedical engineer.
