This dataset contains all relevant data for analysing the effects of urbanisation intensity and duration on intraspecific variation in plant functional traits and CSR ecological strategies of Youngia japonica in Guiyang, China. It has three sections: (1) data related to functional traits and CSR ecological strategies of plants in in situ habitats; (2) data related to functional traits and CSR ecological strategies measured after planting in common gardens; and (3) data on germination and flowering times of the recorded plants as well as data on latitude and longitude of the sampling sites in the study area.
