Steps to reproduce
A total of 48 Cention N blocks each measuring 4 mm depth and 8mm diameter were fabricated. The samples were randomly divided into 8 groups (n = 6) according to the surface treatment applied. Group I-Surface preparation by bur, Group II- Surface treatment by laser, Group III- Adper Single Bond 2 adhesive application, Group IV- Scotchbond Universal adhesive application, Group V-Bur preparation followed by Adper Single Bond 2 adhesive application, Group VI- Bur preparation followed by Scotchbond Universal adhesive application, Group VII- Laser preparation followed by Adper Single Bond 2 adhesive application, Group VIII- Laser preparation followed by Scotchbond Universal adhesive application. The surface prepared specimens of all the groups were restored with freshly prepared Cention N. All samples were then subjected to repair bond strength testing using a universal testing machine. ANOVA with post-hoc Games Howell test and two-way ANOVA with post-hoc Bonferroni test were done to evaluate the role of surface preparation and bonding on repair bond strength.
