Description

This dataset supports the study titled “Apparent Temporal Mismatch between Aquatic Productivity and the Occurrence of Conservation-Priority Ducks: A Case Study from Shahe Reservoir, Beijing, China.” It includes seasonal climate variables, PCA results for the Hydroclimatic Seasonality Index, duck occurrence data from 2019 to 2024, and plot-level seasonal data on submerged aquatic vegetation, aquatic invertebrates, and gastropods. The data show that focal duck occurrence was highest during spring migration, while aquatic productivity and prey resources mainly peaked later in summer and autumn. These files support the statistical analyses and help interpret seasonal habitat and prey availability in relation to duck migration timing.
