Description

This dataset contains the derived experimental results from the evaluation of the Layered Liquid Fill (LLF), a nature-inspired heuristic proposed for the three-dimensional Container Loading Problem (3D CLP). The experiments use the publicly available THPACK benchmark instances for evaluating single-container 3D packing and loading problems. The dataset contains algorithm-comparison results for THPACK1 through THPACK8, including results obtained using the proposed LLF algorithm and the baseline heuristic and meta-heuristic algorithms considered in the study. The derived results include performance measures such as container volume utilization, packing ratio, execution time, and other evaluation metrics reported in the associated manuscript. The THPACK benchmark instances are not original data generated by this study; they are publicly available benchmark data used as input for the experiments. The files deposited here contain the experimental/computational results derived from applying the algorithms to those benchmark instances. These data support the results and analyses reported in the manuscript and are provided to facilitate verification, comparison, and reproducibility of the reported experimental findings.
