Steps to reproduce
1. Determine the technologies of interest selected in the International Patent Classification system, available at www.ipc.inpi.gov.br. 2. Choose the subclass of the selected technology (4-digit CIP). 3. Perform 4-digit CIP search in the Lens patent database, available at www.lens.org, OUR SOFTWARE menu, PATENTS option. 3.1 Select the NEW PATENT SEARCH option. 3.2 Select the PREDICATE: AND option. 3.3 Select in FIELD the IPCR CLASSIFICATIONS option. 3.4 Use as search term the selected subclass immediately followed by the * character. Example: G08G *. 3.5 Select in the DATES field the appropriate option: FILED (required), PUBLISHED (published) or PRIORITY (priority). 3.6 Enter the dates that correspond to the beginning and end of the period to be analyzed. 3.7 Indicate the countries in which it was intended to protect the technology in the JURISDICTIONS field. 3.8 Select in the DOC TYPE field the options of interest for consultation. 3.9 Select in the OTHER OPTIONS the applicable options. 3.10 Run the search by clicking the SEARCH button. 4. If the search returns more than 1000 records, from the initial period of step 3.6, select period cuts that limit the search result to a maximum of 1000. Example: 01/01 / 2007-31 / 12/2007; 01 / 01 / 2008-31 / 12/2008; and so on. 5. For each search result, select the EXPORT YOUR RESULTS option. 5.1 Select option 1000 for the number of documents to include. 5.2 Select the CSV export file format. 5.3 Define the name of the file to be exported with sequential numbering. Example: g08g001; g08g002; g08g003; and so on by clicking the EXPORT button for each exported file.
