Description

Professional development is essential for teacher learning. Despite its importance, research on EFL instructors in higher education is limited, with past studies focusing mainly on primary and secondary school teachers. Understanding professional development's impact on higher education EFL instructors is crucial due to their complex roles requiring language proficiency and teaching skills. This study explores the effects of professional development through community learning and personal initiatives, using a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews of ten EFL instructors from five universities in Indonesia.
