Description

This dataset provides a representative sample of the BhasaHasta Tulu Sign Gesture Video Dataset, developed to support research on deep-learning-based recognition of Tulu sign gestures. The complete dataset contains video recordings covering numbers, vowels, consonants, and commonly used words, including both static and dynamic gestures. The publicly available sample contains gesture videos recorded from one consenting signer and is intended to demonstrate the gesture classes, video format, and organization of the dataset. The complete multi-signer dataset was used for the experiments reported in the associated research work. The video samples are organized according to their corresponding gesture categories and class labels. The dataset can support research in sign language recognition, computer vision, gesture recognition, and deep learning, particularly for low-resource regional Indian languages. Note: The files available in this repository represent only a sample subset of the complete Tulu Sign Gesture Video Dataset.
