Description

Sexual dysfunction is one of the common complaints of postmenopausal women. The present study investigated the effect of ear acupressure on sexual functioning (the primary outcome) and sexual distress (the secondary outcome) among postmenopausal women.

2.6.1 Measures Demographic and reproductive characteristics The Arizona Sexual Experience Scale (ASEX) The Female Sexual Distress Scale-Revised (FSDS-R) The abridged Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI-6) Frequency of monthly coitus was assessed with a single item question (e.g., “What was your frequency of coitus during the past month”). 2.6.2 Measurement time points Demographic and reproductive characteristics were assessed when participants were first recruited. Scores on the ASEX, FSDS-R and FSFI were assessed three times points: before intervention, one month after the completed intervention, and two months after the completed intervention.
