Description

This dataset contains climate and soil-test data generated to support the development of nutrient diagnostic norms for coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) grown in the Southern Coastal Plain of Kerala, India. The dataset represents the environmental and edaphic conditions of coconut-growing areas and provides essential baseline information for evaluating nutrient availability and soil fertility status. The climate dataset includes relevant meteorological variables such as rainfall and temperature, representing the climatic conditions prevailing during the study period. The soil-test dataset comprises key physicochemical and fertility parameters, including soil pH, electrical conductivity (EC), organic carbon, and available macro- and micronutrients. These data provide a basis for examining relationships between soil properties, nutrient availability and coconut nutritional status. The dataset can be used for statistical analysis, nutrient diagnostic modelling, assessment of nutrient constraints, and development of site-specific nutrient management strategies. It also provides supporting data for reproducibility and further research on soil fertility, coconut nutrition and sustainable productivity in the Southern Coastal Plain of Kerala.
