Prior to screening, we isolated and identified nine strains of PRRSV, all of which were found to be HP-PRRSV. We examined PRRSV-induced cell death following infection at various multiplicity of infection (MOI) values (0.001, 0.01, 0.1, and 1) and identified the optimal titer for PRRSV-induced cell death in PAM cells (MOI = 0.01). We then performed three rounds of screening to identify predisposing factors that regulate PRRSV-induced host cell death.
