Steps to reproduce
Identify patients aged 15–45 years with an acne diagnosis and exposure to oral doxycycline within the TriNetX research network. Apply the ICD-10-CM, RxNorm, and LOINC code lists provided in the supplementary file to define exposures, covariates, and outcomes. Propensity score matching (1:1 nearest neighbor) should be performed using age, sex, race, ethnicity, prior STI diagnoses, and HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis medication exposure. Outcomes are defined as the most recent positive laboratory test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, or syphilis occurring 1–180 days after the index event.
