This database contains all data presented and discussed in the manuscript "The influence of pyrite and carbonaceous matter compositional changes on element release from carbonaceous sedimentary rocks during prograde metamorphism". The database includes results of: (1) whole-rock composition analysis (through ICP-AES, ICP-MS, infrared spectroscopy); (2) pyrite and pyrrhotite trace element composition analysis (through LA-ICP-MS); (3) carbonaceous matter minor element composition analysis (through EMPA); (4) estimation of the proportion of trace elements associated with pyrite in the studied rocks; and (5) Raman spectroscopic analysis of carbonaceous matter, including calculation of peak metamorphic temperatures.
