Multi-omics insights into the differential effects of vegetable soybean straw and peanut vine on mixed silage with fresh maize straw and the associated potential environmental benefits
Description
This dataset supports the study "Multi-omics insights into the differential effects of vegetable soybean straw and peanut vine on mixed silage with fresh maize straw and the associated potential environmental benefits" (Bioresource Technology). Fresh maize straw was ensiled alone (CK) or mixed at a 3:1 weight ratio with vegetable soybean straw (MG) or peanut vine (MA) for 60 days. The dataset contains: (1) replicate-level fermentation measurements (pH, ammonia nitrogen, and lactic, acetic and butyric acids) at days 7, 20 and 60; (2) genus-level relative abundance from 16S rRNA gene (V3–V4) amplicon sequencing at days 7 and 60; and (3) untargeted LC–MS metabolomics annotations in positive and negative ion modes at day 60, with HMDB, KEGG and PubChem identifiers. A README file defines all sample codes, units and file contents. These processed data underpin the reported fermentation, microbial succession, metabolic pathway and environmental scenario analyses.
