Supplementary Table for Elderly Health Status At State level (EHSAS) index study
Description
This study develops the Elderly Health Status at State Level (EHSAS) Index to assess and compare elderly health across Indian states through a secondary data analysis of the Longitudinal Ageing Survey of India – Wave I data. The index incorporates 32 indicators across seven health domains and is computed using an equal-weight method and a principal component analysis (PCA)-weighted method. Hereby, we uploaded the data necessary for estimating the underlying indicators of EHSAS index (see 'Data.xlsx'). Additionally, the file 'Table S1.xlsx' gives the number of participants who reported for each indicator and the corresponding number of missing values at the state level.
