Mapping Research on Adolescent Vaping and Nicotine Dependence in School Settings: A Bibliometric Analysis (2013–2025)
Description
This dataset contains bibliometric data on adolescent vaping, e-cigarette use, and nicotine dependence in school settings. The data were extracted from the Scopus database following PRISMA guidelines, covering publications from 2013 to 2025, with 56 peer-reviewed open-access articles included. It includes bibliographic information such as authors, affiliations, source titles, countries, keywords, and citation metrics. The dataset was cleaned using OpenRefine and analysed using biblioMagika® and VOSviewer. This dataset supports replication and further research on trends, collaboration patterns, and thematic development in this field.

Steps to reproduce
To reproduce this dataset, retrieve data from the Scopus database using the specified search terms related to adolescent vaping, e-cigarette use, nicotine dependence, and school settings, covering publications from 2013 to 2025. Apply PRISMA guidelines for screening and selection to obtain the final set of 56 articles. Export the data in CSV format, then perform data cleaning and harmonisation using OpenRefine. Subsequently, analyse the data using biblioMagika® for bibliometric indicators and VOSviewer for visualisation.
