Twenty healthy men underwent a 2-week hypercaloric diet (~4,600 kcal/day) combined with a sedentary lifestyle (<5,000 steps/day). Plasma biomarkers from a targeted Gastrointestinal Uptake and Translocation (GUT) panel, along with buffy coat 16S rRNA, were measured at baseline, post-intervention, and after 8 weeks of return to habitual lifestyle. The repository contains data from the plasma and buffy coat analyses related to the above mentioned manuscript.
