Description

This dataset contains the input and configuration files for the fluid dynamic and vibroacoustic simulations of the mixer analyzed in the study "A Vibroacoustic Model for Confined Flows." The simulations follow a one-way coupling approach, starting with the fluid dynamic simulation, proceeding to the structural dynamic simulation, and concluding with the acoustic simulation based on the Ffowcs-Williams and Hawkings (FWH) analogy applied to the outer solid shell of the geometry. The fluid dynamic simulation is performed using the open-source software OpenFOAM v10, employing the SST k-omega turbulence model. The simulation setup, the geometry and the results are included in the dataset inside the "fluid" folder. The structural simulation is conducted using CalculiX, an open-source finite element solver. It solves the dynamic equation in the solid domain using linear elasticity. All necessary input files for the structural analysis and the results are provided in the dataset inside the "solid" folder. The coupling between the fluid and solid simulations is managed using the open-source library preCICE, with a Nearest Neighbour mapping algorithm. Configuration files for the coupling setup are also included in the dataset in the "precice-config.xml" file. This dataset enables full reproducibility of the simulations and includes the results of the fluid dynamic, structural, and acoustic simulations to support validation and comparison.
