Inputs and Results Dataset for Aggregated EMS Energy and Reserve Market Planning of a B2C Consumer Portfolio - ATE Project, Portugal, 2022
Description
This dataset was prepared to support the computational case study developed in the dissertation "Mapping Trade-Offs for Aggregator Multi-Market Participation" (FEUP/INESC TEC, 2026). It provides the input data required by an aggregated Energy Management System (EMS) optimisation model applied to a B2C consumer portfolio, as well as the Excel result reports exported from the EMS simulations. Files are organised into two folders: "Inputs", containing the data used to parameterise the case study, and "Results", containing the exported EMS outputs. The dataset refers entirely to the calendar year 2022 and includes four main groups of files. First, it contains electricity consumption and PV production profiles for five B2C consumers. Second, it provides market-related time series, including OMIE day-ahead electricity prices for the Portuguese bidding zone and mFRR reserve-market signals associated with the Portuguese balancing market. The mFRR-related data include capacity and activation price signals, as well as upward and downward activation ratios derived from contracted reserve band and activated energy information retrieved from the REN DataHub. Third, it includes the technical parameters required to represent each consumer and its local assets in the EMS model. Fourth, it includes portfolio-level and individual-consumer result reports used to support the operational and economic analysis presented in the dissertation. The user-level parameter file includes information such as contracted power, BESS characteristics, EV characteristics, state-of-charge limits, charging and discharging limits, efficiencies, plug-in and plug-out assumptions, target EV state-of-charge, and V2G availability. The dataset was developed in the context of dissertation work related to the ATE - Alliance for Energy Transition project. It is intended to support the reproducibility of the EMS simulations by providing the input files used to parameterise the B2C case study and the exported results used to analyse the evaluated EMS configurations.
