US Dental Cost by City / Metro (2026)
Description
DATASET CORRECTION — Version 2, 13 July 2026 Version 1 of this dataset included: per-state braces cost estimates; per-state veneers cost estimates; a “Composite Cost Index.” An internal audit found that these series were not based on independently observed data. They had been derived from the dental implant series using fixed multipliers. These series have therefore been retracted and removed. Validated data The dental implant cost series remains valid and is based on independently collected data. It has been externally validated against the ASQ360° / CareCredit Average Procedural Cost Study, with a Spearman correlation of 0.945 across 51 jurisdictions. Index revision The former “Composite Cost Index” has been renamed: Restorative Cost Index It has also been rebased as follows: 100 = observed national average dental implant cost of $4,507 Required action Please discard all copies of Version 1 and use only the corrected Version 2 dataset.
