Description

This dataset was constructed to analyze adolescent labor and alcohol consumption in Mexico, using data from the 2011 National Addiction Survey (Encuesta Nacional de Adicciones, ENA 2011). The database includes demographic, socioeconomic, and labor-related variables, as well as a continuous measure of alcohol consumption derived from the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT). The dataset was processed and harmonized for econometric analysis, incorporating variables related to labor participation, working conditions, and patterns of alcohol consumption among adolescents. The database was developed for academic and research purposes in the fields of labor economics, child labor, and public health, facilitating the analysis of the relationship between adolescent labor participation and risky alcohol consumption behaviors in Mexico.
