A pretest-posttest design with nonequivalent groups is proposed to fulfill our purpose. On the one hand, there is a treatment group that is given a pretest, receives a treatment (in this case, taking a course of microeconomics), and then is given a posttest. Simultaneously, there is a nonequivalent control group that is given a pretest, does not receive the treatment, and then is given a posttest. Data collection lasted for three academic years; thus, this research consists of a first study and two replications.
