IS THE EFFECT OF HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINE DIFFERENT FROM THE EFFECT OF PLACEBO IN HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS? – A RANDOMIZED, BLINDED, CONTROLLED, THREE ARMED HOMOEOPATHIC PATHOGENETIC TRIAL ON ELECTRO-PHOTONIC IMAGE CHANGES.

INTRODUCTION: Homoeopathic drug proving is the process of understanding the pathogenetic powers of dynamized homoeopathic drugs on healthy human beings. In homoeopathic drug proving, there are many chances of altered electron communication, which may produce changes in the Electro Photonic emission due to the biomimicry of production of disease symptoms. This study re-evaluates the action of Belladonna in Homoeopathic Pathogenetic Trial in molecular (6C) and ultra-molecular (200C) doses. MATERIALS: Intervention kit consisted of 50 vials of Belladonna 6C, Belladonna 200C, Camphor 6C, and Camphor 200C, each for the intervention group and 250 vials of unmedicated globules for the control group. Biowell camera and Biowell software version 1.0 for Electro Photonic Imaging. METHOD: A randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled three-armed (Belladonna 6C, Belladonna 200C and Placebo) parallel study (n = 150) was conducted in the National Institute of Homoeopathy, India. We framed this study design as a four-week protocol consisting of a Pre-intervention Phase, Intervention Phase, and Post-intervention Phase for each participant. Outcome measures were twelve parameters of Electro Photonic Imaging technique. RESULT: The baseline analysis [EPI-0] showed no statistically significant difference in all the 12 parameters (p-value >0.05), among the three groups. The run-in phase (EPI-1) analysis showed statistically significant difference in one parameter (i.e. form coefficient (p < 0.001)) out of 12. The intervention phase showed, statistically significant difference in 8 parameters (Energy (p = 0.023); Form Coefficient (p = 0.041); Front Area (p = 0.013); Front Energy (p = 0.011); Left Area (p = 0.018); Left Energy (p = 0.015); Right Area (p < 0.001); and Right Energy (p < 0.001)) out of 12, among the three groups. CONCLUSION: The Homoeopathic Pathogenetic Trial on Electro Photonic Images concludes that the effect of the placebo and the effect of the Belladonna 200C on the healthy human body is significantly different.
