Description

This dataset comprises data and code associated with the publication Leybourne et al., 2026. "Competency for yellow dwarf virus transmission in the rose-grain aphid, Metapolophium dirhodum, is driven by virus species not vector genotype". Plant Pathology (doi pending). Files include: ELISA absorbance (405 nm) readings of leaf tissue following yellow dwarf virus transmission experiments conducted at Liverpool University (UoL dataset) and Teagasc (Teagasc dataset). Data also include haplotype calls for 19 clonal aphid populations. Data are used to examine competency of various Metapolophium dirhodum genotypes when vectoring three yellow dwarf virus species: BYV-PAV, BYDV-PAS, and BYDV-MAV. Scripts for transmission efficiency analysis and haplotype analysis are included.
