Description

The DFT data that support the findings of our study presented in ''Friction in clay-bearing faults increases with the ionic radius of interlayer cations' Communications Earth & Environment, 2022. Data set was used for Figures 2, 3, Supplementary Figures S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6 in that paper. Files contain optimized atomic coordinates, potential energy, and shear force as a function of interlayer distance and shear displacement.
