Description

Here we present data on levels of BC measured at the San Ysidro/El Chaparral Land Port of Entry (SYPOE) in 2017 and 2018. The folders are arranged by season of the year. Inside the folders you will find the BC sampling data per min at a flow rate of 100 mL / min. ordered by sampling date. BC_Autumn 17 Data for Sampling during: November 17-30, 2017 and December 4-6, 2017 BC_Autumn 18 Data for Sampling during: November 21-30, 2018 and December 1-2, 2018 BC_Spring 18 Data for Sampling during: May 07-20, 2018. BC_Summer 18 Data for Sampling during: June 28-30, 2018 and July 1-7, 9,10, 14, 15, 18, 2018 BC_Winter 17 Data for Sampling during: December 22-31, 2017 and December 1-4, 12, 2018 BC_Winter 17 Data for Sampling during: December 23-26, 30,31, 2018 and December 1-5, 9-12, 17, 2019 BC concentrations at the SYPOE were highest in winter 2017 (average 5.0 μg m-3) . The highest BC levels were usually registered in the early morning, a time when pedestrian and vehicle lines are long, waiting to cross northbound into the US (04:00 to 09:00 hours), range 0.1 to 36 μg m-3.
