Description

Given a classful IPv4 network, students will design fixed-length subnets by borrowing host bits from the host portion of the address. The activity develops skills in calculating subnet masks, determining the number of valid hosts, identifying network and broadcast addresses, and applying the addressing plan to a simulated topology using Cisco devices in Packet Tracer.
