Description

This study examines how entrepreneurial aspiration influences self-employment intention (SEI) among Indian business students through the mediating role of self-efficacy and the moderating effects of institutional environment and financial support. Data from 673 commerce and management students across public and private institutions in Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand were analysed using PLS-SEM. Findings show that entrepreneurial aspiration positively affects self-efficacy and SEI, while self-efficacy mediates this relationship. Institutional support and financial feasibility further strengthen these effects, highlighting the importance of supportive educational and financial ecosystems in promoting entrepreneurship.
