Description

The supplementary materials for this study include the semi-structured focus group discussion (FGD) guide, anonymized transcripts of the sessions with 18 pre-service teachers, and comprehensive coding matrices detailing the two-cycle thematic analysis. These documents serve as a transparent audit trail for the study’s findings on how interns negotiate the "algorithmic line" in teaching. In alignment with ethical standards, participants provided explicit informed consent for the publication of this anonymized dataset to support research transparency and academic verification.

Steps to reproduce

Data Collection and Transcription Procedure 1. Conducted three 40-minute face-to-face focus group discussions (FGDs) with science and mathematics pre-service teachers. 2. Utilized a semi-structured guide to explore AI task delegation and the boundary between human pedagogical work and AI assistance. 3. Provided briefings on the study's purpose, interactive discussion norms, audio-recording, and anonymity. 4. Employed prompts transitioning from descriptive tool identification to interpretive reflections on filtering, correcting, and refusing AI delegation. 5. Permitted responses in English, Filipino, or mixed language to ensure natural expression. 6. Processed audio recordings via TurboScribe, followed by a manual researcher review to verify accuracy and preserve intended meanings. 7. Maintained voluntary, anonymized participation, ensuring no impact on academic standing despite prior teacher-student relationships.
