Description

Based on the previous field survey, undisturbed natural community vegetation areas were selected and surface elevations were measured using RTK altimeters. The China Geodetic Coordinate System (GCS) 2000 was selected as the reference sea-level coordinate system. The elevation was measured at 10-m intervals in the study area. Fifteen P. australis community sample plots were set up according to different microtopographies (high, medium, and low terrain) for investigation. Moreover, seven fixed sample squares (1 m × 1 m) were randomly selected in each sample plot, totaling 105 sample squares, and the growth of P. australis in the sample squares was investigated in detail.

Steps to reproduce

Based on the previous field survey, undisturbed natural community vegetation areas were selected and surface elevations were measured using RTK altimeters. The China Geodetic Coordinate System (GCS) 2000 was selected as the reference sea-level coordinate system.Excel 2019 and SPSS 27 software were used to analyze the data statistically and to conduct Pearson correlation analysis, and Origin 2021 software was used for plotting. When performing correlation analysis, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and T-tests were performed on the data. To meet the normal distribution requirements and the ANOVA hypothesis, it is necessary to convert all kinds of data into a natural logarithmic form, i.e., ln(x+1). The homogeneity of variance test was performed using Levene's test, and based on its results, the least significant difference method (or Tamhane's T2 test) was used for multiple comparisons (Zhao et al., 2022). The general Kriging interpolation and graphical plotting of soil nutrients were performed using the "Geostatistics" module of ArcGIS 10.7 software, and the slope and slope curvature indices were extracted based on digital elevation model (DEM) data using the "3D Analyst tool".
