Respiratory neuromuscular proprioceptive facilitation, specifically intercostal stretch and hold and relax exercises for the pectoral muscles, have immediate positive effects on pulmonary function in post-COVID-19 patients. These findings have implications for rehabilitation programs targeting respiratory muscle strength and overall pulmonary function in individuals recovering from COVID-19.
