Harmonized mechanical-property dataset and reproducible coded-series workflow for Guadua angustifolia Kunth in bio-based construction
Description
This dataset supports the manuscript “Mechanical-property benchmarking of Guadua angustifolia Kunth for bio-based construction: a reproducible coded-series framework”, prepared for submission to Construction and Building Materials. The deposited package contains the harmonized coded-series database, codebook, supplementary tables, search log, reproducible analysis scripts, graphical abstract support material and README files used to audit, reproduce and update the mechanical-property benchmarking workflow. The unit of analysis is the coded experimental series, not the individual specimen. The dataset distinguishes descriptive experimental records, contextual records and code-level benchmark records, and includes flags for harmonization tier, descriptive inclusion and lower-tail reference inclusion. The purpose of the dataset is to support transparent material screening, evidence-maturity grading, reporting standardization and planning of future experimental work for Guadua angustifolia and similar bio-based construction materials. The data should not be interpreted as local acceptance-test results, characteristic strengths, design values or substitutes for standardized experimental validation.

Steps to reproduce
Download the repository package and unzip the archive. The main database is provided in the Excel workbook Dataset S1, which contains the coded-series records, harmonization tiers, inclusion flags, summary tables and contextual benchmark information. To reproduce the analysis, first read the README file and the codebook to identify the role of each worksheet and variable. Then use the supplied scripts with the deposited Dataset S1 file as input. The scripts reproduce the descriptive summaries, subgroup comparisons, lower-tail coded-series benchmarks and supporting tables used in the manuscript. The workflow should be interpreted at the coded experimental-series level. It does not use individual specimen-level raw data and does not generate design values, characteristic strengths or local acceptance-test results.
