Description

This dataset contains the study-level evidence-mapping matrix underlying the quantitative analyses reported in the review “From molecular mechanisms to forest resilience: Integrated biotechnological strategies for tree disease management.” The dataset comprises 92 peer-reviewed original studies classified according to evidence tier, host system, biotic agent, primary technology, technological integration, validation setting, and research-gap categories. Variable definitions and the data used to generate the quantitative summaries and figures are included in the Excel workbook.

Steps to reproduce

The Excel workbook contains the study-level coding matrix and variable definitions used in the evidence-mapping analysis. To reproduce the quantitative summaries, filter studies according to the evidence-tier definitions provided in the workbook and calculate frequencies and percentages for the coded variables. Analyses of focal biotic-agent groups, publication trends, and host genera use woody-host evidence (Tiers A+B; n = 52). Analyses of primary technology, technological integration, and research gaps use disease-relevant evidence (Tiers A–C; n = 67). Validation-setting analysis includes studies conducted in laboratory/controlled, greenhouse, or field settings (n = 65). Research-gap categories are non-mutually exclusive, whereas validation setting is assigned according to the highest experimental level represented. No specialized software is required; the summaries can be reproduced using standard spreadsheet filtering, counting, and percentage calculations.
