This dataset was derived from a retrospective observational study conducted at the Department of Dermatology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, including cases from January 2018 to April 2023. The study followed the STROBE guidelines. Patients were included if they had a confirmed diagnosis of perifolliculitis capitis abscedens et suffodiens (PCAS) at stage II–III (Lee’s classification), complete medical records, and received combined surgical treatment with photodynamic therapy. Patients with incomplete data, misdiagnosis, or stage I disease were excluded. A total of 112 patients were included. Data were extracted from electronic medical records using a standardized template. Variables included demographics (age, sex, BMI), comorbidities, disease characteristics, prior treatments, and baseline DLQI. Clinical outcomes at 12 months included recurrence, post-treatment DLQI, modified Vancouver Scar Scale (mVSS), and patient satisfaction. Data extraction was independently performed by two researchers, with discrepancies resolved by a third reviewer. All data were anonymized. The study complied with the Declaration of Helsinki and received institutional ethics approval.
