Description of the study: This study had three main goals. First, to explore phenotypical associations between basic psychological needs and the Five-Factor Model of personality traits. Second, to investigate the etiology of individual differences in basic psychological needs. Finally, to examine the genetic and environmental overlap between needs and traits. Participants: Self-report data were collected in a sample of 668 Croatian twins (334 twin pairs). Measures: Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction Scale ; NEO-Five Factor Inventory; Zygosity questionnaire
