This dataset comprises experimental data for the adsorption of chloride ions from saline water using activated carbon derived from jute stick. It includes: Batch and column adsorption experimental results for chloride removal. Carbon yield data as a function of activation temperature. Data illustrating the effect of temperature on chloride ion removal efficiency. Parameters derived from fitting experimental data to various isotherm (Langmuir, Freundlich, D-R, Temkin) and kinetic (Pseudo-first-order, Pseudo-second-order) models. Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area analysis data.
