Description

This dataset contains the anonymized raw data associated with the study entitled "Solo versus Group-Based Virtual Reality Sports Tourism for Reducing Loneliness in Widowed Older Women". The dataset includes demographic variables (age, duration of widowhood, and length of residence in nursing homes) and UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3 scores collected at baseline, post-intervention, and 30-day follow-up. Participants were randomly allocated to one of three groups: Control, Solo Virtual Reality Sports Tourism, and Group-Based Virtual Reality Sports Tourism. The study employed a three-arm randomized controlled trial design involving 111 widowed older women living in nursing homes.
