Blockage of bacterial FimH prevents mucosal inflammation associated with Crohn’s disease

Description

Using human intestinal explants, we show that a specific FimH-blocker, TAK-018, inhibits bacterial adhesion to the intestinal epithelium and prevents inflammation, thus preserving mucosal integrity.
