Description

This dataset contains SWIR spectra from 274 garments. The spectra were recorded to investigate how SWIR hyperspectral measurements can be used to classify various textile fibers in the iSortX project. The textile composition was derived from the garment label. The hyperspectral images of the textiles were recorded with the HySpex Baldur S-384 N, which has 288 spectral bands in the wavelength range 950-2500 nm. The dataset is part of the publication "Fabric Classification Using Hyperspectral Imaging and Machine Learning" by Salimi et. al., submitted to the Forty-sixth SGAI International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, https://www.bcs-sgai.org/ai2026/. The dataset is part of the ISORTx project, partly funded by the Regional Research Fund of Agder, project 341372. See the README.md for more information.
