This systematic review and meta-analysis compared DFD-29 (modified-release minocycline 40 mg) with doxycycline 40 mg in adults with papulopustular rosacea. Randomized controlled trials identified through PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane up to September 2025 were analyzed for efficacy and safety outcomes using PRISMA 2020 standards. Three trials including 593 patients were pooled. DFD-29 showed higher treatment success (IGA 0/1) and greater lesion reduction, with similar rates of adverse events.
