Description

This dataset contains the supporting research materials for the study “From Gate to Site: Human-Governed AI for Cost, Carbon, Service and Reliability in Construction Freight.” The dataset supports the development of a human-governed artificial intelligence framework for construction freight decision-making. The study examines how AI-supported decisions can integrate cost, carbon, service, and reliability considerations while retaining appropriate human oversight, accountability, and decision traceability. The supporting materials document the evidence base, analytical coding, framework development, and decision structures used in the study. They capture the relationships between construction freight decisions, operational performance, carbon outcomes, service requirements, reliability considerations, and human governance of AI-supported recommendations. The materials are provided to support research transparency and reproducibility by documenting the analytical foundations and framework development underlying the study. They enable readers to examine how evidence was organised and translated into the proposed human-governed AI approach for construction freight decision-making. The dataset contains no personal, confidential, or participant-level information.
