Description

This dataset contains the processed data and MATLAB scripts supporting the article “Physics-Based Machine Learning Prediction of Optimum Orientation for Monofacial and Bifacial Photovoltaic Systems,” submitted to Energy Conversion and Management: X. The dataset includes the processed yearly, seasonal, and monthly datasets used for machine-learning training, validation, and independent testing. It also includes the generated optimum-orientation data for monofacial and bifacial photovoltaic systems, together with supporting MATLAB scripts for irradiation optimization, model training, model testing, and figure generation. The original solar irradiance data were obtained from the publicly available National Solar Radiation Database (NSRDB). The files deposited here correspond to the processed datasets and scripts generated and used in the study to support validation, transparency, and reuse.
