Description

This dataset provides MATLAB codes used for quantitative image analysis in polymer film-based food packaging research. The scripts were developed to measure nanoparticle size distribution, film porosity, and microbial growth density from FESEM and culture plate images. The workflow includes image preprocessing, segmentation, particle analysis, and statistical output generation.

Files

Steps to reproduce

The codes "a1_ftirspectra.m" and "a6_FTIR_LNP.m" process FTIR datasets to generate spectral figures. The folder “figures_fesem” contains FESEM images analyzed using "a2_FESEM_porosity.m", which calls "a3_FESEM_particle_size.m" to quantify film porosity, nanoparticle size distribution, and generate combined histograms. The folder “Plates” contains microbial culture plate images analyzed using "a4_growth_intensity.m" to quantify cell growth density.
