Description

The database contains multidimensional information from a population of older adults, including sociodemographic variables (sex, age, educational level, area of residence, socioeconomic status, marital status, health insurance scheme, and occupation), along with assessments of frailty and sarcopenia using the FRAIL and SARC-F scales. It also incorporates measures of physical performance and functional capacity, such as the 30-Second Chair Stand Test, the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB), and the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, as well as indicators of physical activity derived from the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) expressed in metabolic equivalents (MEETS_IPAQ). Additionally, several anthropometric measurements are recorded, including abdominal circumference and calf, wrist, and arm circumferences. Mental health and cognitive status are also assessed using validated instruments such as the Yesavage Geriatric Depression Scale, the Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-7), and the Pfeiffer test, complemented by an item assessing life satisfaction. Finally, nutritional status is evaluated using the Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) and its corresponding classification, enabling a comprehensive analysis of health conditions and functional status among older adults.
