Dispositional mindfulness, interoceptive awareness facets, future anxiety, and somatic symptoms in Polish young adults: item-level cross-sectional survey data (N = 438)
Description
This dataset contains item-level responses from 438 Polish young adults aged 18 to 30 years (246 women, 192 men; M = 22.36, SD = 2.66) surveyed online between 18 July and 13 November 2025 through non-probability snowball sampling in social media groups devoted to mindfulness, meditation, study, and personal development. Participants completed four self-report instruments administered in Polish: the Dark Future Scale (5 items, future anxiety), the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (15 items, dispositional mindfulness), the Brief Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness-2 (24 items covering eight facets: Noticing, Not-Distracting, Not-Worrying, Attention Regulation, Emotional Awareness, Self-Regulation, Body Listening, and Trusting), and the Patient Health Questionnaire-15 (15 items, somatic symptom severity). Demographic variables (sex, age, place of residence, education, occupational status) and self-reported chronic somatic disease, affective disorder, anxiety disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder are included in coded form. The file comprises 81 variables with no missing data, together with total and facet scores, and is accompanied by a codebook giving the label, type, coding, range, and source instrument for every variable. The data support a cross-sectional network analysis of the conditional associations among these constructs and can be reused for psychometric work on the Brief MAIA-2 or for meta-analytic pooling.
