Description

This repository contains the structured input folder and master Jupyter notebook used to reproduce the Sentinel-2 shoreline-delineation benchmark and downstream fixed-basin bathymetry/storage workflow reported in the manuscript. Sentinel-2 imagery is retrieved programmatically from the Microsoft Planetary Computer; large satellite products and restricted third-party imagery are not redistributed.

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce 1. Download the repository and keep the folder structure unchanged. 2. Open the master Jupyter notebook provided in the repository. 3. Update the project root path in the first configuration cell so that it points to the local directory where the repository was downloaded. 4. Install the Python dependencies required by the notebook, including the geospatial, remote-sensing, machine-learning, and plotting libraries used in the workflow. The notebook was developed for a Python/Jupyter environment with packages such as numpy, pandas, geopandas, rasterio, shapely, xarray, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and the additional libraries indicated in the notebook. 5. Run the notebook cells sequentially. The notebook reads the structured input folder, retrieves or references Sentinel-2 Level-2A imagery through the Microsoft Planetary Computer workflow described in the manuscript, processes the shoreline-delineation methods, performs benchmark evaluation and method selection, and propagates the selected shoreline scenarios into the fixed-basin bathymetry/storage workflow. 6. External remote-sensing and hydrometric data are not redistributed as raw files in this repository. Sentinel-2 data should be accessed through the Microsoft Planetary Computer, and hydrometric records should be obtained from the public reservoir-monitoring sources described in the manuscript. 7. The expected outputs include shoreline benchmark metrics, selected global and adaptive-by-reservoir method summaries, fixed-basin reconstruction outputs, storage-validation summaries, and manuscript figure/table source data as generated by the notebook.
