This data collected from student-generated questions submitted as appendices to assignments in 12 IT courses at a university in Australia. These courses included both undergraduate and graduate-level students, ensuring a diverse range of academic backgrounds and learning contexts. The appendices provided detailed records of how students interacted with generative AI systems during the process of completing their assignments. These questions represent authentic interactions, capturing natural usage patterns and reflecting real-world educational applications of AI tools.
