The selected case study is a university in southern Sonora, with campuses in the municipalities of Guaymas, Empalme, Cajeme, and Navojoa. It has an enrollment of over 18,000 students distributed across more than 40 academic programs, 92% of which are recognized for quality by external organizations. The subjects of this study are full-time faculty members who perform teaching, research, outreach, and academic administration duties in one of the 16 academic coordination units, also known as departments, distributed across the six campuses. This research utilized a questionnaire developed from the theoretical frameworks and indicators of various authors to measure strategic management, job satisfaction, and job performance. Organizational performance was evaluated using the results of ITSON's faculty performance incentive program during the period 2015–2021.
