This dataset contains results of studies conducted within 3D, biomaterial-based lung tissue models that show transitional alveolar epithelial cells and microenvironmental stiffness synergistically drive fibroblast activation in three-dimensional lung models. Material characterization and results of cellular responses including live/dead stains, image analysis for fibrotic activation markers, and qRT-PCR for gene epxression are included.
